Client: Recovery Plus (CIC)
Industry: Addiction recovery and leadership development.
Scope: Brand identity, visual system, and brand applications.
Project goal: Create a brand that communicates trust, safety, and positive transformation, helping recovering individuals feel supported while emphasizing personal growth and leadership.
Many addiction recovery services present themselves with clinical or institutional branding, which can feel intimidating or impersonal.
Recovery Plus needed an identity that would:
• Reassure vulnerable users
• Communicate professionalism and safety
• Express hope, progress, and empowerment

A brand that inspires people to transform
Recovery is not only about treatment. It’s about becoming stronger than before.
The brand therefore needed to balance:
• protection and trust
• personal transformation
• positive forward momentum
This insight informed the symbolic direction of the identity.
Combing protection, human progress, and positive growth
The symbol designed for Recovery Plus combines three ideas:
Shield Represents safety, support, and trust.
Human figure Represents personal recovery and empowerment.
Plus symbol Represents growth and added support beyond basic recovery services.
These elements combine to represent protected personal transformation. Early strategy sessions and exploration focused on integrating a human figure into a shield form while very subtly suggesting the “plus” concept within the figure’s pose.
The icon was refined using a geometric grid to balance the shield and human figure, ensuring the mark remains clear and recognisable at small sizes. The identity was designed to work across both physical and digital environments, supporting community outreach and program visibility.

Community and Human Context
The final identity positions Recovery Plus as a trusted and empowering support system for individuals rebuilding their lives.
By combining protective symbolism with human energy and optimism, the brand reflects the organisation’s mission to help people move forward with confidence and strength.
